Who let the dogs out...

Dogs are happiest when they're exercised and socialised, they're pack animals and they like the company of other dogs and people they know

MY SERVICES

Normal walks

I can walk your dog once a week, once a month, or twice a day, it really is up to you. If your dog is okay with other dogs then they'll be walked in a group, if your dog has good recall then they can be walked off the lead.

Solo attention

But if your dog is nervous around other dogs then there's an option for solo walks.

I can also do home visits to let your dog out in your garden and feed them

Extra Services

If you want to be there to hand your dog over that's fine, but it's also fine if I need to come in and collect the dog and resettle them after a walk.

If you need your dog delivered to the vet and you're at work, I can do that too.

ABOUT ME

I live in Aston Clinton with my two female German short haired pointers, Pasha and Petra.

I've had dogs most of my life, and, now I've decided to make a business doing what I enjoy, being out in the countryside with dogs. (Whatever the weather.)

It's hard for busy people to give a dog the time and exercise it needs, that's where I come in, you can enjoy your dog without worrying that it's not getting enough exercise and fun.

There are a number of dog walking services out there, if you own a dog you have almost certainly researched potential dog walkers or used the service of a dog walker. If you're happy with your current dog walker then that's great, there are some truly great ones out there, but a lot of us have struggled to find one that matches our lifestyle or bond with our dogs, I'm hoping I can fill that role.

WHY USE A DOG WALKER

If you’re a busy dog owner, you may have considered hiring a dog walker but aren’t sure if it’s worth the investment. While you love your dog, work, errands, and social commitments can make it difficult to give them the attention and exercise they need. That’s where a professional dog walker can help.

Ensures Regular Exercise

Dogs require regular physical activity to stay healthy and happy. Without enough exercise, they may develop behavioural issues like excessive barking, chewing, or digging due to pent-up energy. A dog walker ensures your pet gets the daily movement they need, helping them stay fit and reducing the risk of obesity-related health problems.

Prevents Boredom and Destructive Behaviour

A bored dog is often a destructive dog. When left alone for long hours, dogs may become anxious or resort to chewing furniture, shoes, or other household items. Regular walks provide mental stimulation, allowing them to explore new scents, sounds, and environments, which helps curb destructive behaviours.

Supports Socialisation

Many dog walkers take pets on group walks, which can improve their social skills with other dogs and people. Socialisation is key to a well-behaved dog, reducing fear, aggression, and anxiety in new situations. A well-socialised dog is often more relaxed and confident in public spaces.

Improves Health and Longevity

Just like humans, dogs need exercise to maintain good cardiovascular health, strong muscles, and healthy joints. Regular walks help prevent conditions like arthritis and obesity, which can shorten a dog’s lifespan. Hiring a dog walker ensures your pet gets consistent exercise, leading to a longer and healthier life.

Provides Relief for Busy Owners

Life can get hectic, and finding time for long walks every day can be challenging. A dog walker takes the pressure off your schedule, allowing you to focus on work and personal responsibilities while knowing your pet is being well cared for.

Establishes a Routine

Dogs thrive on routine. When they know they’ll be walked at a specific time each day, it reduces stress and anxiety. A dog walker helps maintain a consistent schedule, which can be especially beneficial for puppies, older dogs, and those with special needs.

Gives You Peace of Mind

Knowing that a reliable professional is taking care of your dog while you’re away provides peace of mind. Many dog walkers also check on water bowls, reinforce training commands, and provide companionship, ensuring your pet’s overall well-being.

Final Thoughts

A dog walker isn’t just a luxury; it’s a valuable investment in your pet’s health, happiness, and behaviour. Whether you work long hours or just want to provide your dog with extra enrichment, hiring a professional walker can make a world of difference. Your dog will thank you with better behaviour, improved health, and a wagging tail!
